Biologische activiteit

Beschrijving Atezolizumab (anti-PD-L1) is een volledig gehumaniseerd, IgG1-monoklonaal antilichaam dat de interactie van PD-L1 met zowel PD-1 als B7.1 blokkeert, maar niet de interactie van PD-L2 met PD-1. MW: 145 KD.

In vitro

Behandeling met atezolizumab als enig middel oefende een matig antiproliferatief effect uit met ~ 30% celdood in alle modellen.
In Vivo

wanneer duale medicatie-geladen, core-shell nanodeeltjes (DLTPT) worden gebruikt in combinatie met anti PD-L1, wordt de tumorgroei geremd, wat een immuunrespons tegen tumoruitzaaiingen induceerde.
